Musical Chairs Studio (MCS) observes the following holidays.  Students will not be charged nor will they be expected to schedule a make up lesson for the holidays listed below:

• President's Day
• Memorial Day
• 4th of July
• Labor Day
• Rosh Hashana*
• Yom Kippur*
• Thanksgiving weekend
• Christmas Eve and Day
• New Year's Eve and Day
• MCS will close for Winter Break, Sunday, Dec. 24th, 2023 to Tuesday, Jan. 2nd, 2024. 

*Please notify your instructor if you plan to miss lessons for either of these holidays.
**Students are also encouraged to take one week of vacation during Spring Break and two weeks of vacation during the summer. 

• Musical Chairs offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons.
• Discounts are available for 3 or more private students in the same family.
• Tuition payments are due for the current month by the 10th of each month. Payments are accepted and preferred by ACH, or Zelle (to MusicalChairsStudio@gmail.com). 
• Payments not received by the 10th of each month are considered on “auto pay”. Credit cards on file will be charged after this date. The 3.5% fee charged by the credit card companies will be added to credit card payments. 
• Musical Chairs does not offer credits if a student misses a lesson. For lessons canceled 24 hours in advance, makeups are offered but not guaranteed. Several options are offered below to easily facilitate recuperating missed lessons.  
• The 1st weeks of January and June are considered “makeup weeks”. No regular lessons will be scheduled during these weeks. Missed lessons can be rescheduled during these times. 
• Make-up lessons can be covered by any Musical Chairs instructor teaching the same instrument.
• Should an instructor miss lessons, a substitute instructor or make-up opportunity will be offered. 
• Instructors and parents may mutually agree to arrange makeup lessons at alternative times. 
• See above for the holidays for Musical Chairs Studio. Regular lessons are not scheduled for these dates. By mutual agreement between instructors and parents, makeups can also be scheduled on these days as well as on periodic school days off. 
• No shows and last minute cancellations (unless due to infrequent, unexpected illness) are not eligible for makeups. 

Invoicing:

Musical Chairs invoices on a 3 month basis. Students / families are welcome to pay by weekly or monthly installments. Payments for each month are due by the 10th of the month. Invoices will be sent at the beginning of each quarter. Current invoice and payment status is available through the student portal at StudioHelper.com.

Attendance:

Instructors set aside a dedicated time for each student. When they do this, it means you are committed to the lessons both time and cost wise. To ensure reasonable progress for our students, we require that students regularly attend their lessons.

If you need to cancel a lesson, 24 hours notice is needed for the lesson to be eligible for a make up lesson. Your instructor will schedule this with you individually. If you opt to not have the make up lesson, you are still responsible for the cost of that lesson.

"No shows" and short notice cancellations are not eligible for make ups. However, we do understand when the infrequent last minute illness arises and will do our best to work with you.

Please note that many of our instructors have a wait list for students. It is not fair to the instructors to forego lesson fees from students who regularly cancel when other students are waiting and willing to commit to the entire semester. Musical Chairs prides itself in hiring the highest caliber of professional instructors. In order to maintain this level of instruction, we must provide teachers with predictable income. Our policy also serves to address this need.

Payments:

Payment is accepted by ACH, credit card or by Zelle and are due by the 10th of each month.  We require a Credit Card authorization on file for all students. Please return the Credit Authorization Form found below to the office at Manager@musicalchairsstudio.com or have your teacher deliver it to us. 

Musical Chairs will charge a 3.5% credit card service fee with each transaction. 

Zelle payments must be submitted by the 10th of each month. If after the 10th a payment is not submitted your credit card will be charged including the 3.5% service charge.
