Private Lessons
Instructor Profiles
Private Lesson Instruments Include Piano, Voice, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Mandolin, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Saxophone, and Percussion.
Private lessons are available for children and adults and are customized to blend with each student's learning style. Private lesson students benefit from our individualized approach to music instruction, regular recital performances as well as opportunities to volunteer and mentor younger students for our more advanced students.

Weekly lessons are 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on student level and are available to children depending on readiness (usually entering Kindergarten - 1st grade or older). Success with weekly private lessons is highly dependent on regular, consistent home practice.
Group / Semi-private lessons are available for 2-3 students of similar age and ability.
Lessons are generally held in our studio spaces at 2124 W Lawrence Avenue. When school is in session, we also offer lessons at Queen of Angels School, St. Matthias School, McPherson Elementary, in collaboration with their after school programs for families who attend those schools.
For adults, scheduling is flexible and charged on a per lesson basis. Daytime, weekend and evening hours are available.
Tuition
$40 - $45 per 30 minute lesson
$60 - $68 per 45 minute lesson
$80 - $90 per 60 minute lesson
Rates are dependent on teacher and duration of lesson selected. Upon receiving your registration, we will contact you for scheduling.

Summer Try an Instrument Program
During the summer months, our "Try an Instrument" offers eight weekly 30-minute lessons for children and adults ages 6 and older who are interested in trying a musical instrument. Lessons are offered for Piano, Voice, Guitar, Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Violin, Cello and Percussion. Students may choose to try choose the instruments they wish to try and select up to 8 weeks of lessons. Students can also choose our Ala Carte option if fewer than 8 lessons is desired. We are able to loan guitars to use during lessons (but not take home). Other instruments must be provided by parents/students. This is great program for students who are unsure of their music interests as well as school band and orchestra students who want to keep up their skills during the summer!
Class Location: Musical Chairs Studio 2124 W Lawrence Avenue
Session dates: June - August - Lesson times are scheduled individually with students / teachers upon registration. Students select the 8 weeks and instruments they wish to try in advance.
Tuition: $320 for 8 weeks or $45 per lesson for fewer than 8 weeks.
Musical Chairs offers both Virtual and In-Person programming based on preference and health guidelines.
