Fall Theater Club at Queen of Angels School

CLASS IS FULL - CHECK BACK IN DECEMBER FOR SPRING MUSICAL REGISTRATION

Join us for an exciting session of Theater Club!  This fall,  we will dive into the magical world of Alice in Wonderland as we prepare a play version of this timeless classic. 

Whether you dream of being the next Broadway sensation or just want to build theater skills with friends, Theater Club is perfect for our young actors to let their creativity shine. 

Our fall session is focused on building theater arts fundamentals that will prepare them for future theater experiences as well as the Queen of Angels Spring Musical coming in January. 

Our young actors will find this is more than just theater; it’s an enriching experience that nurtures vital life skills, empowering your children to communicate confidently, express themselves, and grow personally and socially in a dynamic, engaging setting!

Our season will conclude with two special performances:

An evening performance for parents and friends on Tuesday, December 10 at 5:30 PM

A school-day performance for classmates and staff - date TBD

Ages:  2nd - 5th Grades

Class Location: Queen of Angels School, 4520 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625 

Session dates:  September 3 - December 10th

No Class on: 11/26

Rehearsal Day / Time: Wednesdays 2:15-3:45pm

Class Exceptions: Oct 29th - Parent Conference Day - rehearsal will be from 11:30 - 1:00

Tuition: $350

Saoirse moved from Dublin, Ireland to Chicago in 2023.  She is a trained theatre artist and producer, with a Master's degree in Theatre Practice from University College Dublin where she also gained experience in Theater Education.

Saoirse is passionate about learning new things and exploring different forms of expression. She is fluent in Irish and has experience teaching piano, harp and ukulele. She most recently directed the Finding Nemo production for Musical Chairs Studio, assisted with the production of Into the Woods and is the Director of Musical Chairs Theater Company. 

She loves working with children and contributing to the development of their creative spirit and self-confidence. Her previous experience as assistant director for American Montessori Academy exposed her to working with children of all ages in a creative engagement-based approach which she carries forward today in her teaching.
